All hotels, golf clubs and malls will be having their own Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony which typically comes with mulled wine, cookies, carols and in some cases – Santa makes an appearance and even hands out gifts for the little one. These are usually free to join, though some venues require prebookings and some are […]

Last week, we had the honour of attending a gala evening hosted by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. The event was held in the ballroom of the One&Only Royal Mirage, with over 100 media representatives as well as social media influencers. Glad to be dressed up and out that evening – particularly in a venue […]
With Dubai being a holiday destination – it also means that resorts tend to make an extra effort with their festive decorations over Christmas. It’s great for us as residents as every visit is magical for the little ones. Here’s a collection of Christmas decorations in various resorts that we have been to this year. […]
With so many markets popping up all over the city, I’ve decided to put one together just for our area – for our own reference, and for anyone else who lives close by too. So here’s all the Christmas markets and Winter Wonderlands happening in Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Bluewaters, Jumeirah Beach Residence and The […]
Nice to return to Folly after a very early ladies night in the summer. This time for the launch of “Souk Madinat’s favourite rooftop terrace” – yes I stole the tagline from the invite. The rooftop is quite dreamy in the evenings, isn’t it? You can’t really get that in any other spot in Dubai […]

Aren’t we all glad things are getting to some sort of normal in Dubai? 🙂 Introducing Gal, a contemporary Turkish-Mediterranean restaurant situated at the Ground Floor of Address Downtown Dubai. You may not have been there but I am sure you have seen photos of […]

Last weekend we had the opportunity to bring our 3-year old to participate in a sushi masterclass held for kids, at Tanuki’s in the Dubai Mall. Whilst it’s meant for 6-year olds and above, they mentioned that the younger ones are free to join in with guidance from the parents.

With permission, I’m putting this up with a few more additions to it and links added to the events on their respective social media pages. All credits goes to Liz Fitzpatrick for the list! 🙂 […]
So excited to do this post. Just going through the photos brings a smile to my face 🙂 And that, I think, is what I did miss about blogging. So my girl is turning the big 2, and we decided to have her birthday do a little earlier this year as it is getting rather […]
We slept at 3am last night. We got back to Dubai past midnight and although I did think it was a good show, we felt….. unsatisfied. Spent the next two hours watching Bon Jovi’s old concert videos, particularly the one in Wembley back in 1995. How I wish we could get a time machine, jump in […]
Off we went to World Trade Centre last night to catch 30 seconds. We haven’t been to concerts there for a long time now, and it sorta reminded me why. Imagine every one in five person has a cigarette in hand. Ugh, it was disgusting. To be fair it really is just a ‘Dubai situation’, […]
Don’t worry, they’re not closing! Just for the summer 😉 Recently we seem to have always ended up at Societe after dinner out with friends. The music’s good, and the little guy with the signature hand-waving-in-front-of-face move is always there for comic relief. Next Friday Societe is closing for summer, with their ‘Happy Ending’ party […]
