Our Experience & Thoughts

The last time I sat in an art clsss – I was possibly 11 years old, thick glasses on with a bunch of other teenagers whom their parents have enrolled them in on a Saturday morning. I spent many hours with crayons – trying to recreate a picture of choice. Unfortunately I didn’t end up being an artist but I do remember enjoying the process.

Fast forward three decades on, here I was sitting in front of a canvas on a Tuesday evening – a glass of sparkling wine in one hand, paintbrush in the other. The light is low, the vibe – electric from the chatter amongst all the other guests. I nibble on the nuts and nachos, and carry on painting, whilst catching up with a dear friend sitting alongside.

And that’s what a Sip and Paint is all about. The process. The wine. And just the overall experience of bringing out the inner artist in you. Don’t worry, even if you’re no Picasso, it really is just a fun experience. Would have been nice to have more than two drinks though… ( or maybe that’s just me 😉 )

Every Tuesdays from 7pm to 9:30pm, at Origins – Vida Emirates Hills.

How much is the Sip & Paint?

275 AED per person

Are all the art supplies provided?

Yes – all art supplies, to include 1 no. canvas, paint brushes, sponges, and palette, paint, and an apron to keep yourself clean!

What nibbles are included?

Nuts, and nachos – so do have dinner before you come, or you are more than welcome to order more food as well.

Can you bring your artwork home?

Of course you can. That, and a tote bag from Portraet. Please leave everything else on the table though 🙂

Not winning any competitions here but hey – it was a fun experience. And that’s all that matters these days, right? 🙂
