Oktoberfest is back again in Dubai – and it’s all happening down at Barasti from the 21st of September, until 6th of October 2024. If you’ve never been to one here, and you’re considering it – give it a go for a fun night out with friends, without the little ones.

When is Oktoberfest at Barasti this year?

Oktoberfest will be running for two weeks only, from Saturday 21st of September, until Sunday 6th of October 2024.

Don’t worry – it’s all indoors in Barasti’s Tent. The venue itself is open from 9am to 3pm, but do take note that cheeky drinks will only be served after mid-day and the band is playing from 9pm to 12am.

Is there an entrance fee? Are there any brunch packages?

It’s free entry for all – as long as you are 21+, so you are welcome to pop in for a drink, or 10.

They do have combo packages if you would prefer to do that :

• 1 stein + 1 Bavarian food + 1 Ginger Bread + 1 Hat – 185 AED
• 4 steins + 4 Bavarian food + 4 Ginger Bread + 4 Hats – 695 AED (You save 45 AED between 4 people…)

No, they do not have an all-you-can-drink package 🙂

What’s the Oktoberfest menu like? Can we get food too?

Yes – you can have a bite or a feast, as you wish.

There’s all the Oktoberfest usuals – from currywurst (roasted german bratwurst in curry sauce- 70 AED), to wiener schnitzels (140AED). You can get a schweinshaxe as well which is roasted pork knuckle served with sauerkraut, beer gravy and bread dumplings (130 AED). For those craving something sweet – get a krapfen (german doughnut- 26 AED), or apfel strudel for 30 AED.

What’s the overall vibe like? There is live music, right?

Fun, fun, fun. There is an Austrian band Trio Megamix on stage to keep you on your toes if you want to dance. They play from 9pm till midnight – from classic Oktoberfest tunes to all the english favourites. Don’t be surprise to find Robbie Williams’ Angel and Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline in the mix – they know what gets your hands up in the air. Do come in your dirndl or lederhosen – if you have one 😉
