One of our absolute favourite events at Rixos the Palm is Rixy Kids’ Fest. They do this every Winter – and I remember putting a reminder in my Google Calender so that we’ll take the kids over to join in 😉 You know how some places get one bouncy castle pumped up and that’s their ‘kid’s entertainment’ box checked?

Well, Rixy Kids’ Fest goes all out.

Where in Rixos the Palm do they do Rixy Kids’ Fest?

Over the years, we’ve seen them either do it at the lawn by the adults pool, or otherwise – for this season ie Winter 2023-2024, it is being held on the large lawn area by Rixy Kids Club, next to the beach.

When is Rixy Kids’ Fest?

Every Wednesday, from 3pm to 6pm during the Winter Season. Typically, this will be from October to April.

What shall we expect from Rixy Kids’ Fest?

They have the entire lawn area set up to look like a carnival. Giant-sized bouncy castles – and I’m not talking the simple ones you see at brunches. These are huge – so big I wish I could join in with the kids, ha ha!

That’s not all, there will be mascot appearances – and these change depending on what’s going on that month. We’ve seen so many different ones – from Pikachu (so adorable), to Elsa and Olaf, and Mickey and Minnie.

Is it supervised? Do we have to stay with the kids?

Another fabulous part is Rixy Kids’ Fest is completely supervised. When you drop the older ones (ages 4 and above) at the Kids’ Club, they will take all the kids to the location for the Kids’ Fest. The Kids’ Club team is all there to assist, manning the bigger inflatables.

Adults are of course more than welcome to pop in, or…………not. We have always had a child or two that was below the drop off age so we have always been with them for Kids’ Fest. It’s such a fun thing to do with the kids though – so we really don’t mind 🙂

Plus, did you know they will have food as well?

Like what you would expect from a carnival – there are food stalls set up on the lawn. Rixos is an all-inclusive resort so all of this is included in your staycation, or daycation.

We’re talking burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets and fries. Cupcakes, donuts, chocolate fountains, marshmellows and endless popcorn. Oh, and of course – candy floss as well! It’s a kids’ paradise. If you are a health-conscious parent, this is possibly a temporary nightmare hahaha. But c’mon – you’re on holiday right? What harm will 3 candyflosses and 5 doughnuts gonna do to a 3 year old? 🙂 That’s why they have all the bouncy castles so they can bounce away their energy!

Can I just pay to attend the Rixy Kids Fest by itself?

Unfortunately – this is not a separate, payable event. If you are not an in-house guest, you can always take the family to Rixos the Palm for an all-inclusive daycation. This includes the following

• Pool and Beach Access
• Breakfast and Lunch Buffet at A La Turca Restaurant
• Unlimited drinks (including alcohol) from Bodrum Lounge
• Access to Rixy Kid’s Club
• Access to all Fitness Activities

And this means, access to Rixy Kids’ Fest when it is on, on a Wednesday, over the winter months in Dubai.

How much is a Daycation at Rixos the Palm?

As of December 2023, these are the All-inclusive Daycation rates for Rixos the Palm :

• Weekdays : 599 AED per person
• Weekends : 699 AED per person

Overall Thoughts : Rixy Kids’ Fest – A Fun Family Day for Everyone

If you are staying at the Rixos the Palm with little ones – try and do it over a Wednesday. The kids will absolutely love jumping, bouncing, and sliding down the mammoth inflatables. You can pick a table and chill, while they are safely playing. To be honest, if you stay in Rixos the Palm you literally don’t have to leave the place.
