There’s brunches that allows kids, and then there’s brunches with kid’s entertainment. Some even go so far to have a designated area for kid’s to play in. I spent nearly two hours (sadly) browsing through the Entertainer, Google, and various listings online last night trying to find a spot for our next gathering. So after all that hard work, I’m putting this listing together for myself for future reference, and for families in the same boat :

1. You have young kids that wouldn’t sit still,
2. You would like to spend an afternoon chatting with friends over a couple of glasses of wine without having to stress over the little ones as they would be very much entertained,
3. Preferably in the Entertainer or some sort of discount offer, and
4. Not too far from the marina

Note that I haven’t included prices for the “premium package” because well…… we never do that option. Premium and toddlers/babies don’t really go hand in hand. Unless you’re talking about Pampers. Just click on the website if you need more details. Enjoy 🙂

Brunches with a play area within the restaurant

This is the ones where your kids will be running around within the restaurant, and within the play area located in the restaurant. You’ll be able to / want to….. see them. 

Pots, Pans & Buckets Brunch @ BFF, Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai

• In a nutshell : Huge space where kids can roam free. Enclosed play room where you can pop them in. Book the table facing the play area if you want to keep an eye on them (Note : There are only about 4 tables there…)

The Village Brunch @ Clubhouse, Jebel Ali Recreation Club

• In a nutshell : Simple brunch with pub-grub and kid’s favourites. Face painting and balloon bending. Large space where kid’s can run around and you can still see from from one end of the room to the other…. just tell them not to run into the actual pub area.

• In a nutshell : Lots of cute cartoon decorations amongst the food. Large play area with swings and toys. There was a magician when we were there as well. Book the tables close to the play area, as all other tables are in the other side of the restaurant. 

City Brunch @ The Market, Hilton Al Habtoor City

• Review – We did this about 3 years ago now when it was still under the Westin and the eldest was a teeny weeny baby…. we’ll return in the coming months and see how it’s like with two active toddlers! 🙂

Friday Family Brunch @ Al Bahou, Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai

• In a nutshell : Huugggee spread. Tables located underneath the lanterns so it’s a large area for kids to run free. Bouncy castle and slides play area next to tables, so you could choose those tables! There’s also a TV room/play area that you might not be able to see entirely from the tables, but your child can easily go in and out back to your table. Additionally, another supervised kid’s club for arts and craft, books and games. 

Le Grand Friday Brunch @ A.O.C, Sofitel Jumeirah Beach

Bubbalicious @ Mina’s Kitchen, Spice Emporium & Hunter’s, The Westin Mina Seyahi

• Deal : I’ve never seen a deal for Bubbalicious before. That’s probably why we’ve never been there, hehehe.

Brunches which are ‘family-friendly’, however doesn’t actually have a play area within the restaurant. You could pop them in the Kid’s Club

These are the ones which doesn’t have a designated play area per se, but is aimed at families nonetheless so you’ll see kids running around. You also have the option to pop them in the kid’s club.

Flow Kitchen @ Fairmont The Palm Dubai

• In a nutshell : Large open space so you’ll see kids running around. You can pop them in the kid’s club (3 and over) for 65AED per hour, OR complimentary for 2 hours with Privilee

Giardino @ Palazzo Versace Dubai 

I know this isn’t actually close to the marina but it’s one of our favourite hotels so I’ll make an exception and include them here

• In a nutshell : Really nice buffet spread, stunning venue, one to bring guests to. No play area per se but there’s a live jazz band and kids can dance and play around. Comp 2 hours access to the Kid’s Club (unlimited, with Privilee). Comp access to the pools too.

There’s tons of family-friendly brunches when winter hits. Outdoor, bouncy castle, the whole Dubai-standard. Piknik @ Westin, Geales @ Le Royal Meridian, Bab al Shams, Kalea @ Lapita, the list goes on. If I struggle to find a consolidated listing which has the deals incorporated, I’ll do one for myself (and you) later on. For now, this will do …. 😉
