Family Brunch @ Bread Street Kitchen, Atlantis Dubai

A popular one with the Brits for obvious reasons is the family brunch at Bread Street Kitchen – Gordon Ramsey’s award-winning restaurant. We headed down the Palm towards Atlantis on a Saturday afternoon late October to review their family brunch, three little kids in tow.

If you’ve always been planning to do this and wasn’t sure what you get- here’s what to expect.

Where in the Atlantis is Bread Street Kitchen?

Drive to The Avenues, which is basically the second entrance of the Atlantis the Palm, after the main lobby. This is where you go if you are going to Aquaventure.

Yes, you have complimentary valet if you are dining at Bread Street Kitchen.

Walk down the hallway and turn left. BSK is right in front of you at the end. It’s a trek so definitely bring the pram if you have lazy kids haha.

What sort of food do we get at the family brunch in Bread Street?

As the website describes it perfectly well – ‘a modern take on British classics‘. It’s buffet-style, with various stations set up around the restaurant and outside.

There was roast beef with yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, whole baked fish from the wood oven, curry, pastas and more. There was a station for kids with the usual favourites – pizzas, tomato pasta, chicken nuggets and fish fingers. Things kids eat, and will only eat 🙂 The grill station outdoors had bbq prawn skewers, chicken flautas and condiments.

Of course you also get the hot and cold starters – fresh dibba bay oysters, lobsters and prawns. A whole table of various cheese with crackers and another display for salads.

We thought it was not a lot lot – like some of those huge brunches you get in Dubai. It’s selected, but it was good food. We loved the chicken wings and the pies!

Is there any kids entertainment at the family brunch in Bread Street?

There is a bouncy castle set up outdoors, and an area set up for face painting, balloon bending, slime making. My middle child was in and out of that area – it was still quite hot when we were there at the end of October but I’ll say it’ll be perfect for the rest of the winter season 🙂

They also come by and drop off a cookie decorating set altogether with a kids recipe book and chef’s hat – cute!

You get access to The Lost Chambers too?!

Yes you do!

We went at the end of brunch – and spent about 45 minutes or so in there. That does make the brunch pretty worth the money especially if you have never been to the aquarium before.

If you wanted to book tickets to The Lost Chambers separately, Book here.

How’s the overall vibe like?

It was full house when we were there – lots of big family groups with what looked like extended families – grandma, grandpas, little children, the whole lot. It’s full, it’s noisy with chatter, it’s busy.

Outdoors was quieter simply because it was still quite warm when we went but again, I expect all tables to be booked out in the winter season. That’s also possibly when the crowd will appreciate the music a bit more 🙂

Overall Thoughts

Do the family brunch at Bread Street Kitchen if you enjoy good british food and something to keep the kids entertained outdoors. The plus side is there is another playground right outside the gate, by the beach – so if you have older kids they can also go in and out. Definitely a popular one for the winter months where you can easily spend an entire afternoon – brunch, playground and then The Lost Chambers 🙂

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.
