Oriental Restaurant @ Fujairah

Somewhere tucked behind the side streets in Fujairah lies a little Singaporean restaurant. Friends from Malaysia/Singapore who have lived here for a long time raved about this place, saying that they used to drive all the way there just to have a feast. When G and I was due for our trip to the east coast, I knew we had to stop by here for lunch, no matter what 😉

So after we arrived in Fujairah I rang the restaurant, and probably after 5-6 phonecalls of on-the-phone guidance we finally found the place, haha. And I’m so happy we kept our patience.

How to get there

Food is cheap, and it is very, very, very, very good. I had the Hor Fun, just looking at the photo now makes me hungry. I don’t even know where else in Dubai can you get hor fun. Anybody knows? G  had the fried rice, and we also ordered kangkung which were both just perfect. With the interior and the taste, we felt like we were dining back home 🙂

So if you’re heading to the East Coast, and you’re looking for good Singaporean/Malaysian food that is well-priced and absolutely delicious, make the effort and find this place 🙂 I hope the little map above helps, and if not, give them a call, and please be patient because I can assure you it’s well worth it!! If only they have a branch here in Dubai!!!

Say hi to Pearlyn when you’re there 😀

Credits goes to Paul Castle who wrote the article on Oriental Restaurant here. I was reading this on my S3 whilst G was driving, telling him that we had to go here 🙂

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.

  1. I’ll keep that place in mind! The food looks very nice, but I’m not sure I understand how to appreciate good Chinese food. For instance, the Chinese food at Din Tai Fung is supposed to be really good, but I only like the soup dumplings and find everything else too heavy:)

    1. Haha, it’s an acquired taste ay I think… as we grew up having it. I’ve never been to Din Tai Fung, is there one in Dubai? Have heard about it…
