Discover Vida Creek Beach: A Family Getaway in Dubai Creek Harbour

I really want to use the word ‘hidden gem’ to describe Vida Creek Beach, but then I know I’ll get blasted for using a much-used clickbait terminology. It really is though, don’t you think? I mean while you’re reading this – tell me, have you been to Vida Creek Beach? It’s such a beautiful family resort, with its gigantic crystal lagoon and man-made beach. It’s a simpler and smaller hotel to most – with it being 4-star but gosh, there’s so much it does offer for families.

Here’s a run-through of Vida Creek Beach, based on our past visit and our recent stay with the kids.

Let’s start with the logistics.

Where is Vida Creek Beach?

Vida Creek Beach is tucked away in the Creek Beach community, right across from Dubai Creek Harbour. It does feel like an extension of Dubai Creek Harbour. Getting there by car, you might get a little lost especially if your GPS starts to malfunction (due to various reasons…), as there are no signs to let you know this is the way to ‘Vida Creek Beach’ once you’re in the area. If GPS works then hurray – otherwise keep an eye out for Building 6 once you’re within the community and drive up the ramp – then you’ll find the little sign leading you to the hotel. Note to hotel : Get a sign in please! 🙂

What Room Type would fit a Family of 5 in Vida Creek Beach?

We were booked into two rooms – the Deluxe Lagoon View Room King, with an adjoining door to the Deluxe Lagoon View Room Twin. The girls, age 6 and 8 at the time of staying took a bed each in the Twin Room, whereas the husband and I, together with the 6-year old shared the king bed.

Bathrooms are showers only and suited us fine as the kids are all older now, but if you do have a baby and need a little bathtub – check with the team if they can provide.

Note : If you are a family of 3, the online system will allow you to book a Deluxe Room, whereas if you have two kids, it will automatically roll out the Premier Room or Lagoon Suite. If you prefer to stay in the Deluxe – give the team a call to discuss.

What is Vida Creek Beach’s Pool like?

Crystal Lagoon

The absolute highlight for us during our staycation would be Vida Creek Beach’s beautiful Crystal Lagoon, located at ‘Beach level’. It’s humongous and so beautiful in the daytime when it’s fully lit, and of course in the evenings when the pool lights come on. Built to mimic a beach, there’s sand by the sunbeds and a gentle slope leading into the water. You can pick a sunbed right by the beach and watch the little ones play.

If you prefer shade in the daytime – you can swim over to the area underneath the pedestrian bridge.

Otherwise, head over to the other side of the lagoons where it winds around amidst date palms and frangipanis, giving it pockets of shade for you to hide from the sun. The kids loved hanging around there chatting and playing, hanging off the railings and picking up leaves and finding the occasional beetle.

Feel like a drink? There is a swim-up bar with in-built stools where you can chill out and have a beer, cocktail, or milkshake if you prefer.

Note : There is a complimentary water dispensers by the lagoon. Cups are provided, otherwise remember to bring your own reusable water bottle. Outdoor showers are situated right by the entry to the beach and close to the towel counter. There are bathrooms with toilets but no indoor shower.

Infinity Pool

Located one level above the lagoon, you’ll find Vida Creek Beach’s infinity pool. Over our stay, we didn’t use this pool as the kids loved the lagoon too much (for good reason, too!). It’s good to have an option, especially if you’re there to sunbathe and the beds are all taken by the lagoon – at least you have an option to head here for some tanning time.

Do they have a playground?

We missed this the first time we were at the hotel – as it’s tucked away to the other end of the lagoon. You can either access it through the gates, or swim over under the bridge with the little ones and walk up to the playgorund.

There’s a boat-like structure with slide, balance beams, see-saw and more. It’s cute, and would be a good for the younger ones for sure. Suggestion? Place some in-pool sunbeds over the shallow end, so parents can chill-out in the pool while the kids swim and play. It’s a good way to get more sunbeds for this pool too.

What family restaurants are available at Vida Creek Beach?

Over our stay – we dined in two restaurants : Origins & The Courtyard.

Origins

Origins is open for breakfast, which is served buffet-style as most hotels do. Eggs are requested from a menu, so they can prep it fresh from the kitchen. Lunch is again served here or otherwise if you prefer, at Float Lounge right by the beach. If you are doing half or full-board, lunch is served in Origins.

Highlights for us? We must have ordered the Vida Super Bowl at every single meal, as it was such a delicious dish. Kale, Quinoa, Asparagus, Avocado, Chickpeas, Butternut Squash, Shaved Almonds, sprinkle of Pomegranates and alas – their Mango Dressing. I need to get that dressing.

They do have a kids’ menu with the usual favourites – fish fingers, margherita pizzas, spaghetti bolognaise, and burgers. Our kids ordered their beef burger at almost every meal. I don’t know how they don’t get tired of it. The burgers always come with a generous portion of fries that they can never finish so we always end up taking that away for ‘snack-time’ 😉

The Courtyard

During our stay in May of 2026, dinner was available only at The Courtyard.

The full-board menu is pretty much the same – just a change of scenery. We were initially a little anxious about taking the kids there are they do serve shisha – it being a lounge and all, but the team was kind enough to open the side doors for us just to get some air-flow. Nice dinner vibes – dim lights, and they did introduce a family area so we didn’t feel all that out of place. That’s always much appreciated.

Note : We did not dine at Float Beach Lounge this time, but this is Vida’s poolside lounge with outdoor tables where you dine at after a swim. Over the winter months, they also do a Saturday brunch called the Hidden Beach Brunch.

Is there anything to explore within the neighbourhood?

Over our two nights there, we would wander off across the pedestrian bridge to Central Park with the kids. The first evening, we got the kids on their bikes (which yes, we brought over from home), and the second – we took a little tour around Dubai Creek Harbour using Vida’s buggy (air-conditioned!) and ended up at the playground.

It’s lovely to be able to explore a little with the kids.

On the last morning, I got up early and used Vida’s bike and rode all over Dubai Creek Harbour. Note that the bikes can be used by in-house guests on a complimentary basis which was fabulous. It was a cool way to see all the main sights, before the crowds came in! We could have done this with the kids of course but ran out of time. Next time, for sure.

Overall Thoughts & Highlights of Vida Creek Beach, as a staycation option for families

Can I use the word, ‘hidden gem’, now? 🙂

Vida is understandably a 4-star hotel but honestly it just felt like all the many 5-star hotels that we have stayed and loved, with its quality service and amenities. If you don’t mind not having the little luxuries – like a night turn-down service, kids’ club, bathtub, or a spa – and all you need is a comfortable family hotel with a massive lagoon, this is the place to be. The fact that it’s not so big works to its advantage as your rooms are a very short walk to the lifts, and similarly – everywhere is so easy to get to. The restaurants, the lagoon, the bathrooms, even the gym itself. Minimal steps, maximum pleasure. Okay maybe wrong use of word there, maximum comfort suits better.

Over our three days at Vida – I would also highlight that the pool area never felt crowded at all. In fact, it was far from that. Let’s hope that of course, more guests book into the hotel or visit over a day pass but that they limit the number of guests by the pool, so it gives the same experience, as we had 🙂

Enjoy Vida. Let us know as a comment in the reel below, if you do go!

Shoutout to the team : Thae, Joy, Khine, Dilip, Siju, Neha, Anjali, and the lovely Nadim who took us on the Vida buggy for a little tour. I know there’s lots more, especially at reception, the lifeguards by the pool, and I’m sorry I didn’t get your names this time but we’ll definitely be back 🙂
