Have you been to Above Eleven? This Palm West Beach Rooftop Bar & Restaurant reopened earlier this month, and we went over for a date to review one of their new offers.

The Nikkei Experience, Our Experience
It’s Friday night. We freshened up and put on our best ‘casual date night’ attire. And with that I mean jeans and a comfortable top. Jumped in the car and headed towards Palm West Beach for our early date night.
The lifts opened up to the 14th floor, and we walked towards the counter to check in. It was good to see that the giant llama prop to the left, still standing tall. The staff led us out to the bar and we picked a table to the corner of the terrace.
Glorious views of the Dubai Marina skyline ahead, and of course – all the work-in-progress buildings at the harbour. Can’t wait for that to be completed, isn’t it.
As we were trying out The Nikkei Platter – the team explained what was included. It was quite simply – a Nikkei Sharing Platter with bowl of A11 Ceviche, a plate of Salmon Tiradito (3 slices), Honshu Maki Roll (4 pieces) and Chef’s Nigiri Selection (4 pieces). When we were dining, we were served salmon, and tuna. On top of that – a bottle of your choice, is included. We went with sparkling, of course.
How was the evening?
It was so nice to get out of the house and go to an adults-only bar. Music pumping, groups of adults having after-work drinks. There were couples there for date nights. It was a nice crowd.
The platter was delicious, though to highlight it is definitely a light snack – so come after dinner, or you can always order more from their Ala Carte Menu. There was definitely more drinks to go with the food, so we (very happily) stayed on to finish the rest of the bubbly as the night wore on.
For 250 AED a couple, it is definitely a pretty good offer for a light bite and a bottle to share. Add in the views, and overall vibe – it’s an ideal spot for a casual date night. Next time someone is asking for a rooftop bar with a view? I’ll definitely throw in Above Eleven as an option 😉

What : For those who would appreciate a few more drinks, with options to choose a 2-hour free-flow and light bites.
