Do you play cricket? Well – what about an augmented reality version of one? Introducing Wikit – which has now opened up its second branch in Dubai – within Emirates Golf Club. This is you holding a cricket bat and hitting balls that are pumped out from a screen with virtual bowlers. It’s super fun, it’s air-conditioned, it’s contained. Plus it’s family-friendly.

Let’s start with the logistics.

Where exactly is this Wikit located within Emirates Golf Club ?

As you drive into Emirates Golf Club – head in the direction of Topgolf. You’ll find Wikit on the right hand side just before the Viya Padel courts. There is an open parking area on the left, and all along the side of Top Golf. If these are full, don’t worry – you can also park in the shaded parking lot in front of Topgolf itself which has a lot more space.

How many AR Cricket cages are there?

There are 3 no. AR Cricket cages in Wikit Emirates Golf Club – and one player each, at a time. It gets a lot of natural light coming in in the daytime – which is nice, and what sets it apart from its sister branch down the other end of town.

Is it family-friendly?

Very much so. We were there with all 3 kids – ages 5, 7 and 9 at the time. Each got a chance to bat – and for safety reasons only one person can be in the cage each time.

They have couch seatings behind each cage so you can chill, and order some food and drinks, and watch the family play. Note that the entire venue has a non-smoking policy which is fabulous for families.

The team can provide colouring for the younger ones upon request, which kept my younger two entertained in between games.

So they serve food and drinks there?

Yes – Wikit has a fully operational kitchen within its premises and you can order food and beverages, to be served at the tables by the Wikit cages.

There are also lots of dining tables around, as well as high tables for those who prefer that.

There’s bar bites like tempura prawns, salads circa 70 AED, and flatbread for sharing circa 75 AED. We of course ordered the Margherita for the kids! For those who want something a bit more – there are burgers and wraps. Highly recommend the DBC Smash – a double wagyu beef patties, with crispy veal bacon, cheddar cheese and potato bun. Absolutely delicious.

Wikit also has sharing boxes called Grand Slam Box for 195 AED and a Vegetarian version for 155 AED. These are perfect for 4 adults, or you could also that for the family!

We did notice that there were a lot of interesting options for vegetarians at Wikit – like hot honey cauliflower popcorn, paneer tikka skeweres and bhajis. Other than the margherita flatbread, there’s also a vegan keema flatbread using switch vegan keema meat, vegan mozzarella and vegan Parmesan.

Do they have a Kids Menu?

Yes – Wikit has a Kids’ Menu upon request. Dishes are all 45 AED and includes one fruit juice. You get the usual – like chicken nuggets, hotdog and beef burgers – all with fries and nice to see – green peas! Not that my kids ate them but I was quite happy picking it off their plates……

Is Wikit EGC licensed?

Yes! You can get draught or bottled beer, wine – including sparkling wine and if you want to go all out, a bottle of Moet and Chandon for 1155 AED. Why not, right? 🙂 Especially if you’re there for a big celebration…..

Does it do Events, Birthdays and Team Building?

As the venue itself is fairly cosy – you could very easily book out the whole place for events. It could be for children or teen’s parties, team building, and more.

What is the current pricing at Wikit?

As of November 2025 – their hourly rates vary from 99 AED per hour Monday to Thursdays between 12pm to 6pm, to 200 AED per hour Friday to Sunday after 6pm to closing.

Note that these rates are to book the Wikit cage for an hour – to be used between 6 players, which is a pretty reasonable. So that’s 99 AED for an entire family to play, or to be shared between friends.

Overall Thoughts

Happy to see more options for families closer to our end of town, and that it’s licensed as well! If you’re looking for an activity to do together with the kids, a venue that has easy parking, is licensed and has food and drinks served right to your table – do consider Wikit.
