Been lazy to blog lately, work’s getting busy which is great really. Dubai’s picking up very very quickly 🙂 *Excited*
Short one.
Last week, we took our guests to Karma Kafe, located on the first floor of Souk Al Bahar. If you sit at the terrace, you’re overlooking the fountains and the Burj – nice.
The inside bar is quite posh – red couches, mix chinese / japanese decor.
Food, as an overall was tasty, but portions, as to be expected from ‘fancy asian fusion restaurants’, was quite small. Mains average around 150 AED to 200 AED a dish (wild black cod, recommended). Rice was about 22 AED (at least it wasn’t 40 AED like Hukuma lol). You definitely need to use the Entertainer Fine Dining for a meal there. For a similar view, I’ll suggest you eat at one of the may eateries in Dubai Mall overlooking the fountain, haha. As yummy as it was, it wasn’t really worth the $$.
Look at it this way – you can pay about 100 AED per person (with voucher) for all-you-can-eat awesome Asian buffet at Beachcombers, with super views of the Burj Al Arab, right by the sea. You want good and cheap South-east-asian food? Go to Noodle Room on JBR. Karma Kafe isn’t somewhere I would recommend, but is the place nice? Definitely, it’s beautiful inside. Are the views spectacular? Yeah. Is the food good? Mm hmm. But is it worth the money? Nah…
Moving on!
