West 13 in Ciel Dubai Marina is now open to outside guests for lunch, and dinner. We walked over one Sunday evening, just before sunset to review the menu over an early dinner.
Here’s a little sneak peak into West 13 in Ciel Dubai Marina.
Where is West 13, in Ciel?
As you would have guessed, West 13 is located on the 13th floor of Ciel Dubai Marina. You would have to take the lifts up – unless you’re being silly and want to get a work-out before food. It occupies the entire floor – which also means gorgeous 360 views althroughout.

Where does it look out to?
Depending on where you sit, there’s views of the beautiful Mohammad Bin Ahmed Al Mulla mosque in Dubai Harbour, as well as to the waterways of Dubai Marina & JBR. Around the other corner you are looking back into the Dubai Marina. Take your pick.

What’s on the menu at West 13?
As the venue name would describe it best – West 13 serves western cuisine, with a focus on Mediterranean, European & Latin American.
Starters : Dips, Greens & Raw
You’ll be glad to know that the menu is simple – so you don’t have to go through an entire book to figure out what you want to eat. We had a selection of starters to share – home-made tzatziki ( because greek yoghurt is all the rage right now, isn’t it ), bluefin tuna salad (125 AED), and sweetwater shrimps (105 AED). The kids finished the greek pita before we had the chance to use it with the tzatziki, so thankfully there were other carbs on the table ie the pizza. Oh…. let’s talk about the pizza.
Stone Baked Pizzas
West 13 does amazing pizzas. We only ordered two – and I’m really keen to go back and see if the other ones is just as good. The burrata pizza (80 AED) was my absolute favourite – with a barely-there base and crispy woodfired crusts. On top, you’ll find fresh figs, pesto and baby chard with melted burrata.

The chicken gyros pizza (80 AED) came with jalapenos and herbs, and of course the same perfect thin crusts and slightly charred edges. Delicious.

Mains : Ciel Signatures
For the mains – West 13 offers a combination of meat, pasta, to include a Switch Vegan Burger. There are grilled options for sharing too if you prefer – ie angus beef ribe eye, lamb chops, prawns and sea bass.
We went for the red snapper (150 AED) – served with clams and wilted greens, and my husband – wagyu beef cheeks (170 AED). Both came surprisingly – with decent portions. Honestly we expected the usual fine dining size – so was glad to see that they were not stingy with the protein. Just look at the beautiful bed of mash underneath the beef. We very gladly got the three kids help finish it up.
Does West 13 have a Kids’ Menu?
Yes, they do. Its got the usual favourites – pasta, chicken tenders, spaghetti bolognese and fish fingers – circa 55 AED.

Overall Thoughts
If you’re looking for a nice restaurant with a view for a special dinner with the family, do consider West 13. Tell the little ones to talk quietly as it it’s dim and romantic in there. Otherwise – come back for a date night with your other half. For the vibe and views, the prices are fairly reasonable. Trust me with the burrata pizza. Get it!
