In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month – Dukes the Palm have come up with a special pink-themed Afternoon Tea set, adorned with pink ribbons to remind all ladies – to please remember to get checked.

The afternoon tea set will be available throughout the month of October.

The venue

Champagne and Tea Lounge occupies a cosy space on the third floor of the Dukes the Palm – one of the many hotels along Palm West Beach.

With wooden floors and large gold rimmed frames of english tea cups and saucers (how appropriate, don’t you think) – I do feel it’s still a hidden gem to most. The light green and pink sofa/cushion set is adorable – and if you’re one of those people who love to dress up, come in the brightest colours, – you’ll fit right in.

The main room has an outdoor terrace that looks out over the Dukes’ lazy river and pool area, and over the winter months – best to pick a seat outside. That’s what we did, when we came by earlier this year with a friend and my mum (you might be able to a little bit of the terrace in the photo below). That’s yours truly, feeling quite smug that I came in a matching top with the cushions – haha.

The Pink Afternoon Tea Set

For savouries – you’ll get beetroot mutabbal (eggplant) tart, smoked roast beef mini sandwich, and cured salmon pink croissant with labneh cheese. Don’t worry – there are freshly baked scones of course, with a selection of condiments – clotted cream, butter and jam.

Those with a sweet tooth would love what the team have put together. Saffron kumquat vanilla tart, dates profiterole, rose raspberry macaron and a royal london battenberg cake with berry jam.

And remember, this Pink Afternoon Tea set has been curated for Pinktober – and the main message it Breast Cancer Awareness. If you are looking for a space to do a talk on this topic, definitely consider Champagne and Tea Lounge this October.

Unlike most afternoon tea spots in other resorts where it’s in the lobby lounge, Champagne and Tea Lounge is situated in its own private space. If you want – you could easily take over the entire room for a private gathering. Not pictured above is another room alongside that is much cosier, and smaller. You could also consider it for a baby shower, or cosy celebration with friends.
