Noho’s New York Brunch @ Intercontinental Ras al Khaimah

Have you ever brunched in Ras al Khaimah? We drove up to the Intercontinental Ras al Khaimah one weekend mid November, for a daycation – as well as to review Noho’s New York Brunch. Somewhere new, somewhere different. That’s, always exciting – isn’t it? 🙂

Here’s what to expect at the Noho’s New York Brunch.

Where is Noho?

About an hour and a half from Dubai, you will find the Intercontinental Ras al Khaimah located on Hayat Island in Mina al Arab. Noho Bar & Grill is their New York themed bar, situated on pool and beach level.

When is the New York Brunch?

Every Saturday, between 1-4pm. It’s a relaxed one, and families are welome.

Let’s talk about the spread at the New York Brunch.

Food is served buffet-style, with cold seafood platters and sushi displayed indoors. There is a salad room, and another for cheese & bread. Walk outside and you will find their grill section, and another corner for kids.

It is not extensive, as some of the OTT brunches you have in Dubai, but we did feel that they had picked the good stuff for this one. We thoroughly enjoyed what we had.

On the cold seafood section, there were crabs, tiger prawns, peeled prawns, clams and mussels on ice. Fin de Claire Oysters. Tuna and Salmon Nigiri Sushi as well as a selection of maki sushi, including vegetarian options.

Highlights from the grill section were the lamb chops and tiger prawns for me. The husband enjoyed the spicy chicken wings. We both loved that they had pork in the mix – I had a few too many pork ribs!

In the kids buffet, they had chicken and cheese nuggets, mac n cheese and mini beef burgers. There were pots of grilled vegetables – corn, mix vege, potatoes and more.

One of the best bits for me I would say was having chat with the bartender Deshan – and watching him prepare the cocktails. It’s not often that you get proper cocktails in the ‘house beverages’ package in a Dubai brunch. In Noho – you get pink gin & tonic, aperol spritz, smoked old fashion, espresso martinis as well as bloody marys.

If you spend sometime at the bar and just watch how he prepares, you will appreciate that it takes time, and skill – and that it is so worth it. My favourites – the espresso martini and the smoked old fashion.

How was the crowd like?

Noho itself is a rather cosy restaurant. There were a few couples, groups of friends, and groups of friends with kids. Most, chose to sit outdoors – as the weather as fabulous when we went mid November.

It’s a pretty chilled out sorta brunch. One you can go and have a chat with friends.

There isn’t any entertainment per se for kids, so bring some colouring or hey – it’s okay to take the screens once inawhile, right? The good thing is – once they are done, you can drop them off in the Kid’s Club with Privilee. Exactly what we did, haha.

Overall Thoughts

If you are driving up to RAK from Dubai and planning a day at the Intercontinental RAK, I would highly recommend you add the New York Brunch to your itenary. It’s a chilled brunch, better still if you can get a table outdoors. The drinks were A+ for me. I would go back to have another expresso martini 🙂

Wonder how other brunches in RAK are like?
