Looking for a new adults-only brunch to take a mini break from the little ones? There’s a new one in town 😉 And you can make a whole day out of it – as it includes pool access.
Introducing the Poolside Brunch Club at The Restaurant in Address Skyview Dubai.
Which Address did you say it is at?
If you have been in Dubai long enough you would know that there are quite a few Addresses around. The easiest way to describe which one Skyview is – it’s the one Ce La Vi is at.
Where exactly is the brunch? At Ce La Vi itself?
No no no no no…… don’t get too excited. Ce La Vi is a standalone establishment. And that pool is on the 54th floor.
This brunch is at The Restaurant and it is located on the 3rd floor. Don’t be disappointed, it has quite a nice pool as well, and it does overlook the Burj Khalifa so you have a lot of photo ops……

Like this 😉
Is it entirely outdoors?
They have an outdoor terrace that is air-conditioned – you can choose to sit there.
Or, if you are a bit scared of the heat and humidity (like us) – you can choose to sit indoors.
The ‘outdoor’ terrace
What do you get, and how was the food?
It is a relaxed brunch where everything is serve-to-table – the norm these days.
Have a browse of the brunch menu itself.

You start of with cold appetisers, moving onto hot, mains, finishing with desserts.
Happy with the cold appetisers – a bit of nachos to nibble on while you chat, vegetarian sushi rolls (missing wasabi though?), cold seafood platter, fresh oysters (of course), and seabass and salmon ceviche. The team definitely put together a really colourful combination – pretty, and appetising.
The hot appetisers, we both felt was a bit of a let-down. Do take note that my dining partner and I are both of east asian backgrounds so we were very critical of the asian food on offer. The prawn tempura was somewhat soggy and doughy, the vegetable spring roll very oily and possibly left too long as it had lost its crisp (similar with the prawn tempura). The KFC-Korean fried chicken wings too sweet. The best out of them all were probably the short rib bao buns and the mini samosas. Also – colour. It was pretty much all the same colour-tone. Sorry guys, didn’t work for us. Maybe we got the unlucky serving?
Mains were served in a bento box, so if you did decide to carry on that part of the brunch poolside you could easily eat on the sunlounges – which is a fab idea 😉 The barbeque grilled lamb chop were my favourite 😉
Desserts, as always was the highlight. As we sat near the serving area we watched the team put together the many platters of dessert with a lot of love and care. Kudos to the team that day. Favourite was the coconut ice cream, served with fresh mango, boba and placed in a chocolate shell. It was so cute. My girls would have loved it. The frozen pistachio macaroon was delicious as well. Our only feedback would be to serve the bento in another larger tray of ice. Most of the desserts were prepared ‘frozen’, so it was melting right in front of us – and we were sitting indoors. Imagine having it outside in the 45 degrees heat.
Pool Access?
All brunches held over the summer months should have pool access.
With this one, you can pop over early and start swimming at 10am, if you’re that eager to the make the most of your day 😉 The pool is by The Restaurant on the 3rd floor. Don’t be cheeky and go to the 54th floor and try and argue your way in 😉
The vibe?
Party music by the pool, so it’s definitely a fun one to do with friends who love a few drinks and a dip in the pool.
Overall Thoughts
For 295 AED per person for all that food and soft beverages including access to the pool from 10am to 4pm – that’s a pretty good deal. Add on 100 AED and you get to have as much drinks as you want. It’s a fun brunch to do with a group of friends, a relaxed one at that as everything is served to table. The food is plentiful, however hot starters definitely need a bit of work. Serve that dessert on a bed of ice too so it doesn’t all go melting away in the heat.
A good one to do for birthdays I’ll say, especially with all that cocktails and pool access 🙂 Book the nanny and grab all your friends for a day out at the Skyview!
