There is an account on insta that cracks me up most of the time a new post pops up.
That account is Dezertmemez , where a lot of the day to day things that we face in Dubai, things that annoy us, things that only someone in Dubai would understand.
I’ve put together a few of the ones that I like, related particularly to what this blog is about – F&B, the hospitality sector, and living in the Dubai Marina. Truth be told, they’re all funny, I just can’t flood this entire post with all of it so pop over to their instagram if you want to spend some time chuckling to yourself, hehehe……

I have a profound, unwavering love for Dubai. I’ve been here for just shy of a decade and the only way I’m leaving is being dragged kicking, screaming and almost certainly memeing. But every city has its cute little idiosyncrasies, this page and me ‘being on that damn phone all the time’ are dedicated to celebrating those uniquely belonging to Dubai. I hope they bring joy.
