Update : Breakfast is available to Guests who avail to their All-Inclusive Daycation or as in In-House Guest

I woke up early on Thursday morning, eventhough I had taken the day off work. Last day with mum before she flies home! Rang a few hotels that served breakfast and was in the Entertainer and most don’t accept vouchers for their brekky deals. Finally found one – Ala Turca in Rixos The Palm. Yay! 🙂

It’s always nice to have breakfast in hotels as it kinda makes you feel like you’re on holiday. You can sit there all morning, with the green all around you, the pool in the background. We paid 135 AED for two and though got there a bit late at 9am, stayed until till 11am which was when they start clearing the breakfast off the buffet tables and prep for lunch.

Food

Pretty standard breakfast spreads – live cooking counters for omelettes and eggs, and pre-prepped pancakes, pikelets, waffles, mushrooms, hash browns, french toast, bakes beans, tomatoes. The basic big breakfast 🙂 There was also the pastries corner with a toaster. I had the chocolate croissant and it was alright. Nothing spectacular, just good enough 🙂 There’s fresh cut fruit, an arabic corner, and congee section with unfortunately no century egg as I had hoped!

Drinks

Standard refillable hotel tea and coffee, and a fridge full of supposedly fresh fruit juices!

Ambience

We sat outdoor in the terrace and it’s really nice this time of the year. Cool but not too cold. We went for a wander afterwards as it was fairly quiet to take some photos, Rixos is quite a nice resort that not many people speak of ay.

Service

It wasn’t too busy so we managed to get taken care of. Nothing over the top 🙂

Price

Again, with the Entertainer I thought it was pretty alright ay. You get to spend the whole morning there 🙂 135 AED for two!

Will carry on my hunt for hotel brekkies that won’t break the bank!
