A photo-post of our early morning trip to Hatta, located south-east of Dubai 🙂
G was meeting up mates at the Hatta mountainbike meeting point and since mum was here, thought we’ll tag along and make a mini trip out of it. “See some mountains” 😉
Keen mountain-bikers probably see this every weekend, but for us it was really quite nice to get out of Dubai and be amidst red mountainous terrain.
I do recommend the drive, and I do recommend doing it early. You could stay at Hatta Fort Hotel if you want to stay over. I won’t pretend, the hotel to be honest feels a little run down, but it will be a nice getaway from the big city lights of Dubai.
If you, like us, just wanna drop by there for breakfast, it’s an option. I felt it was quite steep at 90AED per person for the buffet (and no, you cannot use the Entertainer voucher for this unless you go ala carte). It was a very basic buffet of the usual omelettes, pancakes, pastries, baked beans, mushrooms, fruits. If you don’t want to spend that 90AED, you could find somewhere else in Hatta town for brekky. Do let me know if you find something else! Note that entry to the hotel for adults at the moment is 50AED per person which is redeemable for food and drinks, which is what we did.
With that, here you go, enjoy the photos 🙂 Maybe I’ll try and pick up mountain-biking. Maybe 🙂

At this point mum and I left for Hatta Fort Hotel 🙂

Took us one and a half hours to get back to the marina. Home by 1pm. Not too bad ay. Just in time for brunch, hehehe 🙂 Next time if we have more time we’ll go check out the Hatta Rock Pools?
And to end a mini-post, here’s a shot taken by G as he was on the Red track.
