Bellydancing.
Last time I watched one was at theย desert safari.ย Last time I attempted to do it was…..never ๐
So when the opportunity came, I jumped on it. Organised with a group of girls from work and off we went to try out the 8:00 pm class at Gold’s Gym Al Barsha.
Thoughts? Loved it. Why?
- Ladies only
Now I’m not too fussed having some nice-looking men around in gym but the fact that it was a ladies only class made itย so much more, comfortable. Having been in the Middle East for more than 2 years now, I’ld like to say that I’ve learned a little more about their customs. I’ve often wondered how local girls, those who normally wear the hijab and conservative clothing – go to gym. Now I understand why there are ladies only classes ๐ My dear sweet Palestian friend was so happy ( Hi M! ๐ ) as it was her first ever gym class. She loved it. So did the rest of us ๐
- You sweat and, you laugh
That’s physical and emotional exercises ๐ Hee hee. The teacher was hilarious. She kept going on telling us that we’re sexy. Sexy sexy sexy. And there was this one move where you look like you vomit, but it’s ‘sexy vomit’. Lol. I was all sweaty by the end of it. Good work out.
- Easy to get to
I’ll be honest, I’ld rather it was closer to home (anything more than 10 minutes is far #firstworldproblems). But it’s easy to get to from the marina. Okay I will stop complaining.
Keen to try out something different with the girls? Try bellydancing. Bound to get you in stitches ๐
Gonna head back to try their Zumba class next!
