Where is the Amalfi Brunch at?

Amalfi Brunch runs every Saturday in Tutto Passa, located at the pool and beach level of Delano in Bluewaters. It’s a beautiful Italian restaurant featuring a bright, airy space – playing with yellow and green for its interior, while soft beige curtains frame its outdoor terrace. Each table is adorned with fresh blue hydrangeas and lemons, creating a striking Mediterranen blue-and-yellow colour palette. Cliche as it may be – it’s like stepping into a coastal terrace in the Amalfi Coast.

What’s the vibe like? Is there any live entertainment?

The overall vibe at the Amalfi is one word : chilled. There’s background music, and later on – a live duo plays all afternoon. It’s that sorta brunch where you can meet up with other families and everyone can have a proper conversation at the table. Hand movements, optional.

What is the Amalfi Brunch spread like?

Tutto Passa’s Amalfi Brunch promises a true taste of Italy with a generous buffet spread set up indoors, and live cooking stations outdoors.

From the pizza counter you’ll find good old-fashioned Margherita ( which I’m sure the kids’ will be quite happy with ) , Diavola, and for those with a more refined palate – you get Truffle and Mushroom pizzas as well, amongst many others. Don’t get too excited with pizza on the left in the photo below – it’s not pineapple, it’s Potato & Rosemary.

Right in the middle of the dining area – sits a cold seafood counter station. There’s shucked oysters, shrimps, king crabs, as well as lobsters, scallops and more, careful laid out on a bed of crushed ice.

An Italian brunch is never complete without a selection of Italian cheeses and cured meat, as well as a salad station. There’s vitello tonnato – a classic Italian dish consisting of thinly sliced veal topped with creamy sauce made from tuna, capers and mayonnaise. There’s stuffed eggs with tuna, creamy burrata with Italian heirloom tomatoes, Octopus salads amongst many others.

Outdoors – you’ll find live carving stations of slow-baked lamb shoulder, grilled angus beef t-bone alongside grilled prawn skewers and salt custed salmon with lemon butter sauce.

My favourite – would be the porcini risotto station. They do it so well here at Tutto Passa – and it’s great that it’s prepped for you fresh, which also means you can ask for a small portion if you want to save your appetite for all the other delicacies at the brunch.

Wondering what desserts they have?

Amalfi Brunch has all the Italian classics – to include Tiramisu, Sicilian Cheesecake, and Nutella Bombolini – which the kids and I absolutely loved. They also have Torta Caprese, Italian Lemon Tarts, Giandotto – a Piedmontese chocolate cake from Turin, Italy. As someone who isn’t well-versed in Italian desserts – it was quite interesting to try a little bit of this and that, and then do a little Googling to learn the history of these various desserts. Didn’t think brunching could be educational, hey? 🙂 Or maybe that’s just me.

Is there a Kids’ Area at the Amalfi Brunch? What is it like?

For the little ones – happy to report that there is a supervised kids’ room accessible from within Tutto Passa itself. We chose a table very close to the kids’ room so the kids could easily run back and forth, as they wish.

There’s a playmat area with large lego, and boardgames set up. Lots of kids’ books and colouring available for use.

The younger two (aged 5 and 7, at time of visit) went in to do some colouring and face painting while we were at the dining area.

Overall Thoughts

If you’re looking for a relaxed family brunch – serving exquisite Italian fare, has live music plus a little something for the little ones – do consider Amalfi Brunch. Delano’s location in Bluewaters is perfect as there’s rarely any traffic going in and out – plus you can always go for a stroll along the Bluewaters boardwalk after food.
