Every weekend – Blue Door in Delano offers a Turkish Set Menu experience in its beautiful gardens. We went over on a Sunday morning, mid-January to check it out.
Here’s what to expect at Blue Door’s Turkish Garden Breakfast.
The Journey
Blue Door is located on the beach level of Delano in Bluewaters. From the lobby level, take the lifts down, and follow the signs through an alleyway to the outdoors. It’s a lovely little stroll through Delano’s gardens.
Soon after you’ll find the Blue Door sign, partially camouflaged within the bushes. Wander through the winding corridor with checkerboard patterned walkways, enclosed by tall hedges on both sides. The kids will love running through this area – as it feels much like a maze in a fairy-tale, leading to the beautiful gardens of Blue Door.

The Venue
With white tableclothes, beige armchairs, and an oversized candlelabra sitting right in the middle of the green lawns – stepping into Blue Door felt like you’ve found a hidden, enchanted garden. Somewhere you don’t really want to tell too many people about.
There were families with little kids, groups of friends, and a large table underneath the shrubs with what looked like a big family gathering. The place felt honestly like someone’s private garden.

The Turkish Breakfast Set Menu
Families are offered a thoughtfully curated breakfast menu every weekend – one that blends classic flavors with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Don’t worry – all items are brought to the table, so this is one of those mornings where you literally just sit back and enjoy.

As part of the set menu – there’s a turkish bakery basket with freshly baked simit, acma, peynirli pogaca, kol boregi, and sourdough. The kids have always loved bread in general, so dove straight in like hungry birds. This goes well with Blue Door’s home-made jams and spreads – with the honeycomb and kaymak being the favourite amongst the rest.

There’s a sogus platter, a traditional Turkish breakfast component consisting of freshly sliced raw vegetables – sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, parsley, and lemon. You’ll find a turkish cheese plate featuring ezine cheese and cecil amongst others. The kids loved the cecil – as it’s stringy and slightly salty, much like mozzarella.
And of course – for the hot dishes, there’s eggs – menemen (turkish-style) or the usual favourites (over-easy, sunny side up, or omelette). That’s not all. Enjoy this all with fried eggplants and peppers, grilled sucuk (turkish sausages), grilled halloumi cheese and gözleme – a turkish flatbread stuffed with spinach and feta.
Best bit? You can request for as much of each dish as you want all morning.

The Drinks
As part of the set menu – you can have unlimited turkish tea. Of course – if you prefer something else, Blue Door can prep it for you. This will be extra to the breakfast package rate.
Overall Thoughts
Priced at 150 AED per person, Blue Door’s Turkish Garden Breakfast offer is one to consider – if you prefer an intimate alfresco get-together with family and friends in the weekends. It does run from 9am to 2pm, so it caters for all – the early-birds, or those who prefer to sleep in and head out later in the morning.
The venue is perfect for families – as there is lots of space for the kids to explore and play. Walk through the ‘Blue Door’ after breakfast and go for a stroll along Delano’s beachside. Make the most of the winter season while it lasts 😉
