Business Lunch @ Demon Duck, Banyan Tree Dubai

Are you looking for a new business lunch offering to try out? Fancy chinese? Somewhere with a nice outdoor terrace, overlooking the beach. Blue skies, fresh air, and you could just about hear the waves crashing on the shore.

Here’s all you need to know about Demon Duck’s Business Lunch.

The Venue

Demon Duck is Banyan Tree’s very own signature Chinese restaurant – located by Alizee, with an outdoor terrace by the beach. If you want to be pedantic then alright…… – there is a walkway separating the terrace and the beach itself. But yes – you can see the sea from your seat. Don’t worry, it is partially shaded from the roof above and all the many trees and shrubs around – so you should be able to pick a seat away from the sun (if that’s what you prefer).

The business lunch menu

You’ll find Demon Duck’s signature dishes in the business lunch menu.

Starters

For starters – there’s choices like crispy duck with Alvin’s special hummus, bang bang chicken, and soft shell crab spring roll with sambal ( the sweeter version, for the international crowd – of course ). If you prefer dim sum – there’s shrimp har gao, wild mushroom fun guo or chicken and black truffle fun guo. Vegetarians, do not fret – they have not forgotten about you. There’s tempura cauliflower with chilli, and for the vegans – salt & pepper tofu.

Mains

For mains – you gotta order Demon Duck’s sweet and sour chicken, served with lychee and turkish delight. Love Chef Alvin Leung’s twist to classic cantonese dishes. There’s grilled seabass with sichuan home-style sauce, and I’m glad to see that they’ve left the sauce to be poured by yourself, instead of having it served with the fish soaking it up. All dishes are served with a choice of egg fried rice or white rice.

Desserts

If you want desserts, there’s four choices – creme brulee, custard tart, lychee rose ice cream or a standard selection of ice creams and sorbets. We did not order these when we were there that day – but have tried their lychee rose ice cream during brunch so my vote? Go for that. Something unique.

How much is the Demon Duck Business Lunch?

Demon Duck’s business lunch is priced at 160 AED for 2-courses, or otherwise 195 AED for 3-courses. It is available on weekdays (including Fridays) from 12-4pm. C’mon – head on over whilst the weather is so glorious. Come summer – we’re all moving indoors 🙂

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.
