Early November, we drove up towards the Dubai Creek to review the Lakeview Backyard Movie Brunch which has just relaunched for the season. It’s been a long while since we have been to the Dubai Creek Resort and it’s always such a nice drive into the property – with its tree-lined driveway leading up to the clubhouse.
Here’s all you need to know about the Lakeview Backyard Movie Brunch.
Where is Lakeview?
Lakeview is located in the Dubai Creek Golf Clubhouse – occupying an indoor space as well as a large outdoor terrace overlooking the golf course.
Don’t stress about finding parking as unlike other golf clubs – this one actually offers complimentary valet if you are dining in Lakeview. So please don’t be silly like me and drive around in circles trying to find parking – as it will quite likely be full especially over the winter season with keen golfers.
What is the overall vibe like at the Backyard Movie Brunch?
The brunch-goers were all sat outdoors when we were there early November. It was a mix of families and adult groups. Not ashamed to say – that we actually sat indoors when we were there early November, as the husband and the kids have a very (very) low heat tolerance, haha. But look – if you’re reading this now, this means that it’s mid-November or later, and the weather is absolutely glorious in the afternoons and will only get cooler over the next few weeks. So please, make the most of alfresco dining season!
There is live music by Sam and Julz of The Rendez-vous. It’s overall, a very chilled vibe. Relaxed. Nice. Just what you need on a Sunday afternoon.

What is food like at the Backyard Movie Brunch?
Buffet Spread
Desserts, salads and pastries are all placed indoors on the buffet table. We usually stay away from the carbs but the kids absolutely love those pretzel buns. There’s red velvet cake, opera cake, a chocolate fountain which the kids always love (and make a mess of themselves with).
Roast Stations, including Pork Options
Outdoors – you’ll find roast stations, with smoked beef ribeye, chicken, fish as well as…… to our surprise – pork options! So if you’re looking for a Sunday Roast with pork ribs and ham pork – this is a fab option.
Are there any activities for kids?
To the side of the outdoor terrace, there is a table set up for supervised kids activities. The team does some balloon bending, there’s bracelet making, jenga for free-play as well as clay modelling.
The team plays quite actively with the kids – which is always nice. They then get everyone to dance to a lot of bubbles – which my 5 and 7 year old got involved with.
Around 2:30pm or so, the team plays a movie on a big-screen. The kids and adults move on towards the beanbags and couches. It was nice that they only did this towards the end of the brunch, so the kids could eat and play before chilling over a movie.
A Relaxed Sunday Family Brunch Option
If you’re looking for a relaxed Sunday Roast Brunch with pork options, and a little something for kids – give Lakeview Backyard Movie Brunch a go. It’s something different down this end of town around the Dubai Creek. Kids are priced 95 AED for 6 to 12 year olds, which is really reasonable, and 195 AED for adults for the soft beverage package.
