Lah Lah, the very popular pan-asian restaurant in Zabeel House The Greens have relaunched their Saturday Afternoon Brunch. We sent Dhruma to review it with the family – husband and two kids in tow.
Here’s Dhruma’s review of Lah Lah Saturday Brunch.
A couple of weekends ago, our family attended the Brunch Relaunch at Lah Lah, Zabeel House. It turned out to be the perfect family-friendly outing! The event offered everything you’d want from a great brunch — delicious food, good music, warm service, and an easygoing, fun atmosphere.
Venue & Vibe
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who promptly helped us choose our seating. Since the weather was still warm, we opted for a cosy indoor spot surrounded by lush greenery. It was bright, relaxed, and ideal for families.
The music started off soft and gradually picked up as the afternoon went on, adding to the vibe without ever getting too loud for conversation. Most guests were families like us, but there were also a few adult-only tables, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Lah Lah Brunch Menu
The adults’ menu included three courses — appetisers, mains, and dessert. We went for the House Beverage package, which offered a nice selection of wines, spirits, and cocktails. I personally found the cocktails a bit on the sweeter side, but the staff were so accommodating that next time I’d just ask for a less-sweet version — and I know they’d happily adjust it. The kids’ menu had plenty of variety too, with favourites like crispy chicken nuggets with fries, stir-fried noodles, edamame, and rice.
For the adults, the appetisers were served sharing-style, featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. There was sushi and Peking duck, to tempura, dim sum, chicken wings, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious, and the best part was that you could order more of anything you loved, which made it easy to enjoy your favourites without unnecessary food waste. My kids loved nibbling on the adult appetisers too — especially the sushi and tempura!

The mains were served to share, with generous portions that felt more like a feast than a single meal.
The real showstopper was dessert — a colourful mix of fresh fruits, fruity lollies (yes, even for adults!), and bite-sized sweet treats. Needless to say, our kids ended up sharing ours even after finishing their own desserts!

Family-friendly
The staff even provided colouring sheets and crayons for the kids, which kept them happily occupied for a good half-hour — a small but thoughtful touch. As the weather cools down, the outdoor seating will be an even better option, giving kids more room to move around while parents relax.
What really stood out to me was how Lah Lah offers the rare combination of great food, good drinks, and shisha — not something you find often in a family-friendly setting. While shisha isn’t included in the brunch package, it’s available at an extra cost and adds to the laid-back vibe.

Overall Thoughts
Overall, the entire team was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — always checking in to ensure our table had enough food and full glasses, without ever being intrusive.
We left feeling happy, full, and relaxed — exactly what a weekend brunch should be. I’d definitely go back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot that blends good food, good vibes, and great hospitality.
