Last Wednesday night, we walked over to The Croft – a few ladies from the building, and I. It was Bingo Night Wednesdays. The fabulous thing about living in the Dubai Marina is that there’s always something going on in this neighbourhood. I know there’s a lot of you that live in nice big villas far away – haha. But hey – just sharing the positive side of living here 🙂
Anyways, back to topic. Here’s what to expect at Bingo Night at The Croft.
Our Experience and Thoughts
Out of the five of us – four ( me included ) had never done to a Bingo Night before. One was a regular at another bar – so let’s call her an intermediate/advanced participant. It was fun – as she tried to explain the rules to us all, after Scotty the host himself did it. We chit chatted, while scribbling out numbers on a piece of paper that was given to us. Had a few glasses of drinks. I was quite happy with my sparkling wine. Give me sparkling wine at any social and I’m good 🙂
After the first round went, we were given another Bingo sheet which apparently was the ‘American-way’. And the last game, was Music Bingo – where Scotty played tunes and we had to cross out the songs on our sheet. Thankfully – the title and artists were shown on the screen, as we was struggling to figure out who was who.
The terrace was packed that evening. It was a mixture of adult groups like ours, a few couples out for a casual date night, and surprisingly – a table with mums and kids. The kids were all into the game – and they won a round as well. Chose chocolates instead of the brunch voucher, which the rest of the crowd was quite happy about. I just might bring our kids here next time if there’s no school the next day.
We left shortly after the event was over. It was afterall – a school night. Happy to know that this is at The Croft, our neighbourhood English bar – so close to home. Did you know they do Quiz Nights on Thursdays as well? Coming back for that!

When is Bingo Night at The Croft?
Every Wednesday evening, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at The Croft, Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suite. Over the summer months they do it indoors, but once the weather is nice ( as requested by guests ) – this moves to The Croft’s outdoor terrace.
Is there an entry fee to join the Bingo Night?
No Entry Fee. You are welcome to get a drink and a bite from their Ala Carte Menu.
Are there any dining offers on, during the Bingo Night?
If you get there early – there is Happy Hour that runs between 5-7pm.
Don’t worry, from then on – you can also use the More Cravings app and avail to Buy 1 get 1 free Drinks, Mains, or otherwise – 25% off the total bill. You can work out the maths to see what works best. So that’s for example, 55aed for 2 glasses of Eaglehawk Cuvee Brut Sparkling Wine. Or circa 51aed for two glasses of White or Red wine, 46aed for two bottles of Carlsberg. Not too bad huh?
Do you win anything at this Bingo Night?
Yes! When we went in October – they gave away a Sunday Roast for 2, Friday Evening Brunch for 2, 300 aed F&B Dining Credit as well as boxes of chocolates. It was good fun.
So – what’s the verdict. Sounds good? Book in for next Wednesday with your friends! It’s a nice casual date night option as well.
