Family Brunch @ Eauzone with Pool Access : Endless Flavours of Asia

At the beginning of June, we took the kids back to the One&Only to review their new summer offering : Endless Flavours of Asia. We very sternly briefed them as the car rolled into the Arabian Courts Entrance. No running, No shouting. Behave yourselves. It’s standard protocol when we go out, and more so when we take them to somewhere as posh as the One&Only Royal Mirage. Did you know that pool access is also included in this new family brunch offering?

Read on, as this may be your go-to with the family this Summer.

Let’s start with the logistics.

Where is Eauzone?

Eauzone is located in the Arabian Courts of the One&Only Royal Mirage. As you enter from the Arabian Courts lobby – walk straight ahead and then turn right until the very end. You’ll pass Samovar Lounge on your left ( which does amazing afternoon teas, by the way ). Take the stairs or lifts down, and you’ll find yourself in The Rotisserie. It’s pretty confusing, I know.

You have to walk through this restaurant to get outside and then you’ll find yourself in the beautiful gardens of the Arabian Courts. Welcome to paradise. Eauzone is a short stroll ahead, situated by the pools.

Word of warning. Please watch the kids, as you will have to meander through a wooden walkway which separates the pool area from the water feature, ie water on both sides. So if you have toddlers who go crazy at the sight of water – hold on to them. Hold on tight.

What’s the venue like? Is Eauzone really family-friendly?

Look – this place is super romantic in the evenings. I would strongly suggest that you do not bring noisy little kids here in the evenings as someone has saved up for a special date night. Your two year old just might be interfering with someone’s long-planned proposal. But daytime? It’s fair game. It is their pool and beachside restaurant, after all.

We sat indoors when we were there in June – and so did everyone else. It was a mixed group of adults, and families. It was noisy, and yes – we did not feel out of place at all with our three kids (age 5, 6 and 9 then).

What’s included in the Family Brunch ie Endless Flavours of Asia package?

It does help when they’ve called the brunch as it is, doesn’t it? “Endless Flavours of Asia.” Look – Eauzone almost never do deals like this. If you have a peek at their Ala Carte Menu, a dinner for two without drinks would easily set you off at around 600 – 800 AED. A Salmon Avocado Roll is 100 AED, a Chicken Pad Thai 115 AED, a Seabass & Coconut Milk Ceviche – 95 AED. So for 305 AED, you get unlimited servings of that and a lot more all afternoon from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. In the world of One&Only – it is a fabulous deal.

The kids have always loved sushi so we kept reordering more of the Salmon Avocado Roll ( Just imagine if you went ala carte, right? ) I personally loved their Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Black Pepper Beef. Also regretted asking for extra Jasmine Rice (trust me, you don’t need it) – as you also have your Nasi Goreng with Prawns, or Kimchi Fried Rice with Beef. As a South East AsianEauzone does our food, very well.

If you want something light – they also do Asian-inspired Poke Bowls. Highly recommend the Tuna & Salmon with Nasi Kerabu, and their Teriyaki Chicken. Yes – there’s rice in there as well so let me repeat myself – do NOT order extra Jasmine rice!

What about Desserts?

It’s all included – don’t worry. You can have as much mochi as you would like – and for those of you who like your numbers, note that 3x Mochi Ice Cream is typically 60 AED on their Ala Carte Menu. Same goes with their Seasonal Fruit Platter which does come with dragonfruit and mango – yum! Maybe add some longan and mangosteen for those of us who crave a bit more of the tropical fruits, next time! 🙂

Did you say there’s Pool & Beach Access?

If you chose to do their Pool Access package – which is 400 AED for the Soft Package, and 500 AED for those House Package, you get access to the pool at Arabian Courts all afternoon. And that’s where we spent the rest of the evening right until sunset.

There are two sections to the Arabian Courts pool – one section near the slide is shallower circa 1.0m and the other main part is deeper circa 1.5m.

And just before we left – I found a playground set behind Eauzone. When did you guys install this? What is it doing hiding behind Eauzone? So my dear families reading this – now you know and it’s no secret – make use of it if you’re there with the family! 🙂

Overall Thoughts

I think I’ve reiterated a few times that in the world of One&Only Royal Mirage – this Family Brunch offer is a deal. Once the heat goes away, so will this offer – so you better make use of it now. It’s a whole day affair – where you can dine and wine as much as you want, and then spend the rest of the evening in the pool with the little ones. Best bit? It’s available on Friday, Saturday and Sundays throughout the Summer Months. Go go go go go ! 🙂

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.
