Eataly at the Beach currently has a Festive Set Menu that is available from the 4th to 28th of December 2024. We sent Monica and her husband, who are from the North of Italy, a small town called Reggio Emilia, to review the menu. When asked to describe her town – she told me, quote “Nobody knows that (unless you are in education), but everybody knows Parmesan cheese, Balsamic vinegar and tortellini… all originally from my area.” We absolutely loved the description, haha! To mention – Monica is celiac so reviewed their Ala Carte Menu, and her husband reviewed the Festive Set Menu. And to those wondering – yes, you can mix and match as you wish 🙂
Here’s what they have to say about their dinner date at Eataly at the Beach.
Great location and view
First of all, Eataly at the Beach has a breathtaking view from its outdoor terraces. Now that the weather is pleasant, we asked for a table outdoors on their upper terrace. The view of Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai is absolutely spectacular and it’s also the perfect place to watch the drone show that is ongoing for Dubai Shopping Festival !
Editor’s Note : The drone show is on at 8pm and 10pm from 6th December until 12th January 2025.

The Festive Menu
For our dinner date – we went for one festive menu with wine pairing (yes, the venue is licensed!) and also ordered some items from Eataly’s Ala Carte Menu.

Review of the Festive & Ala Carte Menu
From the Festive Menu, we chose the Seafood Option, which was Crostino with fried sardines for starters and Baccala alla Griglia (Grilled Cod). The food was not only just presented in a beautiful way, but tasted well, plus – surprisingly, the portions are generous!
From the Ala Carte menu, we picked two more seafood dishes – local Ricciola ( king fish ) from the raw starters and a risotto with lemon and mussels. We couldn’t be happier of our food choices. And although we are absolutely full, we couldn’t leave without trying their desserts.
Desserts
As part of Eataly’s Festive menu, they do the traditional Italian Christmas dessert from Umbria – panpepato, which is a nice change considering that most Italian restaurants offer panettone and is nothing new. It is probably the first time that we have found panpepato in Dubai and it was actually really good!
I was also surprised by a gluten-free semifreddo – a home made magnum with two different fillings. Note : We didn’t take the tram home – and instead walked all the way to burn the calories – it was so worth it !
Overall Thoughts
The experience was perfect. The ambience at Eataly by the Beach, the well-curated food and attentive service with a fantastic view. It ended up being a lovely date night with gorgeous italian food and a view… we will definitely be back soon!
