We asked my brother’s family to review One&Only Royal Mirage Turkey Takeaway over the National Day long weekend as we were out of town. I’ll be honest – I was incredibly nervous about the whole set-up. What if they didn’t get the order from the team? What if it didn’t turn out good? We spent Thanksgiving at my brother’s place last year and they did an ah-ma-zing turkey with sides, so I knew they would be a good team to do this review (possibly better than us, haha). I was confident in the One&Only, but I was half the world away and just….. so worried.

The Review
My sister in law is out of Dubai and asked us to review a turkey takeaway on her behalf. We of course said YES!
We had a beautiful Festive Feast from One & Only yesterday. I was a bit worried a take home turkey might be a bit dry but the 9kg turkey was incredibly moist and absolutely delicious. It came with beautiful and scrumptious side dishes including rolled turkey leg stuffed with sage and chestnut (this was ok but I found it a slightly odd texture). Turkey chipoletas (turkey sausages wrapped with halal bacon), herb roast potatoes (my son’s favourite!) honey glazed parsnips and carrots, brussel sprouts, green beans, turkey gravy and cranberry compote.
To top it all off they also added an incredible chocolate Yule log cake (Note that this is an additional booking to the Turkey takeaway). We had 7 adults, 3 children and could have easily had another 5 adults over with leftovers. It’s a generous amount of food. Boxed beautifully and they roll it out to the car for you. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend!

Our only comment to share is that if you are booking via email – ask for the Turkey Takeaway specifically from the Lobby Lounge – The Palace, One&Only Royal Mirage. Secondly, if you don’t hear back from them within a day, give them a call.
