Last year when we stayed in the Radisson Resort in Ras al Khaimah, we did their Sunday Roast just before checking out. This year when we returned – it was at the top of our list. They do SUCH an amazing roast and in a lovely space which is perfect for families as well so we were really looking forward to it.

Here’s why we loved it.

The location : RBG Bar

RBG Bar is typically open from 4pm everyday, except for Sundays where they welcome guests from 12pm for their Sunday Roast. It’s facing the Radisson beachfront, which also means that it does get a lot of natural sunlight throughout the day. It’s lovely just to sit by the bar and have a drink, and people-watch if you want some quiet time.

There’s a pool table right in the middle – RBG’s centrepiece, and a mixture or high and low tables. Similar to our last trip – we took a spot at their corner booths.

The RBG Bar Sunday Roast : What you get

For their Sunday Roast offer – it’s a choice of roast with sides, and a house drink for 99 AED. What a bargain right?

You get to choose from Beef Rib Eye, Half Chicken, or a Vegetarian option – Mushroom, Spinach and Goats Cheese Wellington. This comes with sides – delicious roasted potatoes, yorkshire pudding, piping hot tubs of creamy cheesy cauliflower, swede and pumpkin mash, as well as charred greens and carrots.

As I always say – I am not roast expert, but both times that we’ve been there – it was such a good roast experience. We love how they wheel it to the table and set it out for us, everything is still hot from the kitchen. The beef, and chicken – so tender and juicy. The sides complement it well, plus it’s just such a comfortable spot to dine at, with the kids. Not sure how the vegetarian option is – maybe you can go and let us know 🙂

Stop by RBG Bar on a Sunday

If you’re off to Ras al Khaimah for a day trip on a Sunday, and you’re not sure where to eat – drive down Al Marjan Island to the Radisson Resort. Walk into RBG Bar and say – I would like to have your roast, please. You will not be disappointed!
