Did you know that you could do Afternoon Tea at Al Habtoor Grand Resort’s Club Lounge?
I mean – there’s nothing wrong with doing it in their lobby lounge, but to be able to access their Club Lounge as an outside guest, have a scone or two – and possibly a glass of bubbly, it just feels a little – different. A little….special.
The Venue – Club Lounge
My sister-in-law and I headed over to Al Habtoor Grand in JBR one afternoon, mid-July to review their afternoon tea offering. We informed the team upon walking in and they escorted us to the lift, tapped with their access card so we could get to the 25th floor.
The club lounge is a lovely space – with floor to ceiling windows allowing lots of natural light in. It’s bright, yet cosy at the same time. Not the biggest fan of their chandelier choices – haha, but that’s me.

We picked a spot by the windows to start – so we could enjoy the view from there. You look out over the Al Habtoor Grand Resort grounds and beyond – Le Royal Meridien, Ritz Carlton and of course – Ain Dubai and Bluewaters. I can imagine it will be even more beautiful – at sunset.
From their outdoor terrace, you look out towards the Dubai Harbour and Palm Jumeirah. Again, this would be so nice over the winter months.
Private Room – Available
We had a wander around, and found their private rooms (2 of them), which could comfortably seat 8 adults. This will be an ideal spot for gatherings – baby showers, birthdays, or even just a get-together with friends who want their own space.

The Afternoon Tea Set
The team brought over the afternoon tea set shortly after in Al Habtoor Grand’s very own stand.
As with all afternoon tea sets – it’s simple, with 4 scones, 8 savouries and 8 sweets – to be shared between 2 people. We spent the next two hours sipping bubbly, chatting, as we savoured each little piece.

For savouries, there’s smoked salmon roll, ham and cheese, beef bresaola and beetroot mini sandwiches. And for those with a sweet tooth, you’ll enjoy their pistachio eclair, vanilla macaroons, lemon tart and valrhona chocolate truffle.
We ended up taking back a few of the sweets at the end of the day. I mean, really – who finishes everything on the afternoon tea stand, anyways? 🙂
Our Thoughts
In comparison with most of the afternoon teas around Al Habtoor Grand – this is very well-priced at 195 AED for two people, including tea and coffee – with the More Cravings app. If you’re feeling like a glass of bubbly – guess what? You can have two, as well as tea & coffee, and the afternoon tea of course, for a top up of 100 AED per person.
What makes the afternoon tea here different than the others? The fact that you are actually in the resort’s Club Lounge – which is typically only accessible to in-house guests. It’s quiet and much more intimate, if that’s what you prefer. Addtionally – you can also book their private room, for gatherings and be…… as loud as you want 🙂
