A Luxurious Summer Glow Up Spa Day @ Raffles the Palm Dubai

For the summer season – Raffles the Palm have introduced a generous spa day offer, called the ‘Summer Glow Up.’ With mum in town, I took the opportunity to bring her along to review the offer, late July. Mum loves being pampered. Who doesn’t? 🙂

Here’s what to expect from the Summer Glow Up at Raffles the Palm.

Escape to Cinq Mondes Spa

As you enter Raffles the Palm, turn left and head down the beautiful hallway right to the end. Take the stairs down and you’ll see Cinq Mondes Spa – Raffles the Palm’s very own luxurious spa.

I guarantee that you’ll spend sometime taking photos through the arch hallway, as we did. I can only imagine the security guards snickering in the control room at all these women (and men) posing for photos and videos. It’s all about that photo for the ‘gram these days, isn’t it.

Allow extra time before the treatment to use the spa facilities. Unfortunately we came late and missed out on the sauna, spa, and – their gorgeous indoor pool. I did not know that Raffles had an indoor temperature-controlled pool!

Note that in-house guests have access to the indoor pool, as well as all guests who book a treatment at the spa.

The treatment

Wantri introduced herself – a lovely therapist who is originally from Bali, Indonesia. How appropriate – as she would be doing a Balinese massage as well.

We started off with a footscrub, before proceeding to the massage table. Heated, or non-heated? Heated, please.

The next 60-minutes was just bliss, allowing her to knead away the knots and what-nots in my body.

I rejoined mum afterwards in Cinq Mondes’ relaxation room, both of us in our very own bed, served with a pot of warm tea and dried apricots.

Dinner at Piatti

Famished, we headed over to Piatti soon after.

As part of the Summer Glow Up – you have a 150 AED credit to spend in Piatti by the Beach. Mum ordered the Spaghetti alle Vongole (165 AED), and I, the Risotto Ai Porcini (160 AED). Both, I’ve had a taste of at their Iftar menu few months back (which I highly reommend, by the way) – so was glad to see it was just as good as when I had it the first time.

Just a heads up – expect top up if you want a proper three-course meal in Piatti.

Have a look at Piatti’s website for their menu and prices.

Overall Thoughts

It’s not often that Raffles does such a generous spa offer and 550 AED for all that I think, is a pretty good deal.

For those of you who likes numbers – note that typically, a 60-minute Balinese massage would cost 650 AED and currently, pool & beach day pass on a weekday is 250 AED with 150 AED redeemable in F&B. So is this offer a bargain? Definitely.

Take advantage of this offer while it lasts 😉 And don’t make my mistake – allow extra time before your treatment to make use of the indoor and outdoor pool, plus spa facilities. You could easily spend an entire afternoon in Raffles the Palm.

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends.
