Mauritius Tourism Gala Evening @ One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai

Last week, we had the honour of attending a gala evening hosted by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. The event was held in the ballroom of the One&Only Royal Mirage, with over 100 media representatives as well as social media influencers.

Glad to be dressed up and out that evening – particularly in a venue we are very fond of and so close to home. It was exciting to sample Mauritian cuisine for the very first time – dishes like lamb kalia, fish and eggplant stew, and chayotte gratin. Various videos of Mauritius was also played that evening – and it was interesting to learn about the attractions in Mauritius as an idyllic paradise – that we will hopefully get the opportunity to experience, one day.

The primary objective with the event, was a reminder to all UAE residents that Mauritius is very much open for tourism.

Have you been to the Mauritius?

The highlight for us was to spend the evening with Sanne of Mitzie Mee, and her husband. The last time the four of us sat together and had a conversation must have been many many years ago now 😉 It’s always good to have good company for events like these 😉
