I hope they don’t ban us.

I think we kinda took over the area this morning.

Playmats out, babies on the floor (or literally, crawling everywhere), our prams parked to the corners (as neatly as we can), miscellanous pieces of food on the floor (I did try and pick up as much as I could of what came from my little monkey!). That’s a scene of breakfast with new mums.  See what I did there? 😉

So last Sunday, I went to The Scene in Pier 7 for a mummy baby gathering, organised by another mum.

What?

Why didn’t I know about this when it was first launched?

I had their crushed avocado – that’s two sourdough toasts, two eggs on crushed avocado. And a hot cup of latte. It was nothing fancy – simply as it is, a good breakfast and a good cup of coffee.

Since then I’ve rounded other troupes and been back on 3 other occasions!!!

It’s an awesome deal (in the marina!), the place itself is fab – large, with lots of different areas – cosy booths, long tables for big groups, a spacious outdoor terrace.

I haven’t had any issues with service over the various visits (waves to Vincent. Mental note to self : Need to get name of female staff who took care of us on the other mornings!) – they are very patient and accomodating with us noisy lot.

They do a good organic 3 egg omelette as well (with cheese, mushroom and tomato… salad on the side). Had their bacon and egg butty this morning and that’s probably one off the menu that I might skip next time though – not filling enough for me. And if you’re picky and don’t want something off the 35aed menu, choose something off the main menu (I heard you can use the Entertainer for those? TBC), and a latte would cost you 24 AED.

Sorry, not a single photo of the breakfasts I’ve had over the last 4 visits. That’s how awesome a food blogger I am.

Conclusion?

My current fav breakfast spot as it’s a short drive (click here if you don’t know how to get to Pier 7) and the deal is awesome.

I just hope they don’t ban us noisy mums.

PS – If you don’t like babies, don’t worry – the place is massive, there’s lots of space for a peaceful breakfast around the restaurant!!
