Ladies Night With a View @ Vault, JW Marriott Marquis

This is one ladies night that a good friend of mine and I have been planning to go for awhile now – Vault, located on the 71st and 72nd floor of the JW Marriott Marquis in Business Bay. G and I have walked through here to ‘have a look’ during our staycation at the Marquis when it first opened its doors back in 2013 (click here to have a read). A little far from home, we never really had an excuse to head back. And then, ladies nights launched 🙂

What do you get? 3 complimentary drinks – choice of red, white, and a 3 choices of cocktails.

When is it? Tuesdays – 7:00pm till late

Can you book? It’s a bit weird as their website says ‘For reservations, call XXX’ but when you do you’re told that you can’t make one. Not surprising though, it’s similar to most high-end bars in Dubai. And then you get there and some areas are ‘reserved’ for special people. Sulk. I would suggest just get there early to get a good spot.

How was it? Our group got there early – around 7:30pm so we could get a nice comfy couch on the 72nd floor. The views from the bar is a-ma-zing. Panoramic of the city (better than what you’ll get from Atmosphere Bar at the Burj – click here for my previous review), so pretty at night. The interior is beautiful – think gold, glass. Music was way too upbeat and loud for what seems like a lounge. I would suggest they tone it down a little, and wait till 10pm or so to pump it up.

What should you wear? Cocktail dress and heels, unless you’ve just had a baby and want to put on a pair of nice jeans and top then maybe they’ll excuse you.

How was the crowd? Hmm. How shall I put this. Hmm. Very mixed. Nice girls out for a good time. Girls-you-can’t-take-your-eyes-off out  for a ‘good time’. A few couples here and there. Men with cigars. Let’s just say it was pretty entertaining to people watch here.

What about the food? We shared the crispy baby calamari (60AED), Duck Spring Roll (65AED), and Chicken Tikka Quesidilla (60AED) – prices as you would expect from a posh bar like this. It was tasty, though I would probably recommend other places in the Marquis if you were there for a proper meal.

Would you recommend it to people? For ladies night, yes. Actually, if you’ve got guests in town and you want to bring the girls to one or two ladies nights, this is definitely one of the few that you should take them to. It’s central, you can see the Burj, bit of the fountain, Dubai Mall area. I would even say, skip At.mosphere, take them here instead – three complimentary drinks and pay for a few bar bites, it’s much cheaper!

So there you go. Vault’s ladies night. Would definitely take mum when she’s back 🙂 Credits to Citispi’s app (click here) which I was using when looking for a spot to go with the girls this week.

Have you been to Vault’s ladies nights? Thoughts? 😀

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.

  1. Noted — in fact, you could even start at Weslodge’s happy hour and work your way up (down?) the JW. 🙂 I love ‘people watching!’ Witnessed some interesting individuals a few weeks ago at Asia Asia…

  2. I have taken overseas guests to VAULT Ladies’s Night and they have loved it.
Should go out more often and wear those heels!
It’s nice to read your blog and opinions.
