Early June – C had organised an evening brunch , and Latest Recipe came into choice as it was in the Entertainer Monthly Offers. ( PS – and it still is! )

Evening brunches to be honest are not that easy to find, and we tend to go back to Channels as the easy, value-for-money last-min option.

Happy that there’s another one out there, and though it’s not as cheap as the usual, it’s still good for what you get –

a) The spread

I just realised I only took snapshots of the salad sections (sorry boys!) But other than a great array of salads, sushi and fresh salmon sashimi – at which I usually stop as I’m already full hahaha – there’s pasta, roast beef, lamb, the usual really.

b) The drinks 

I stuck to my bubbly, which kept us all happy.

They have a drink station outside where they make you special cocktails 🙂

c) Entertainment

When we were there, there was the man who played really good acoustic outdoors. Then came more entertainment, including “man in the balloon” which was the highlight of the evening !

d) Service

We were a fairly big group that evening, think there was about 11 of us. No issues with service though. Special mention to Vasanth. Here’s a snapshot of his sparkly tie 😉

e) The price

The entertainer clearly states valid for Friday Evenings for Soft Beverages Only. Now that is 250AED, so 125AED per person.

Standard price for the house beverages package is 375AED.

Now this is where I’m confused, eventhough I’ve actually been to the night brunch. Two months ago when we went, a group of 11 and 5 vouchers, we ended up paying 284AED per person.

I rang the hotel today to double check, and got quite frustrated as was told mixed information. And if you do call you’ll probably get told the same thing, so please be patient 😉  At the moment, voucher is valid for soft drinks package only, and any alcohol you take, is supposedly as per consumption (?). If you do have a big group, do contact venue to see if there can be a separate arrangement. 

f) After-party?

We had other plans that night so ended up going to Downtown. However, in case you didn’t know, Barasti is just next door 😀
