Driving through Tuscany – Pisa, Chianti and Siena

A collection of postcard-perfect images of Tuscany, as you would imagine it 🙂

We went from Florence – Lucca (verry pretty lil wall-bound town…click here for Mr Mustard’s photo there!) – Pisa (yes, just to the Leaning Tower!) – Stayed in Castellina in Chianti ( Palazzo Squarcalupi, amazing ;)).

Then from Castellina through Radda and Gaiole (Such a quaint town built on the hills!!) towards Meleto Castle (nice lil wine shop here), and Brolio Castle (have to pay to go in… so we didn’t, ha ha), ending up in Siena.

Again, it was too hot to enjoy Siena. We chilled out (or at least tried to) at the Plazza Del Campo for a wee bit, before making our way towards San Gimignano, the town atop the hills with their 12 towers. Sadly, too hot and humid to walk through it, so we just took a photos and made our way back to Castellina for a swim and dinner 🙂

I would honestly suggest going to Italy in Autumn or Spring. It was beautiful in Tuscany but had the weather been a bit cooler, we could have walked through Lucca and Siena a bit more!

Dubai resident. Stays most of the time in the marina as she can't be bothered going anywhere else after work and in the weekends. Originally from the land of the orang utans, spent the latter half of her life in the land down under. Always on the look out for deals, loves organising get-togethers, and occasionally steals some time for a sip of wine or four at ladies nights.

    1. haha! It was about 37-40 degrees. That doesn’t sound very hot compared to Dubai and Doha but when you’re outside for the WHOLE DAY, it’s very hot, lol! The UAE is built for this weather, not ..for example, the Colloseum, hahaha.
