ubk Saturday BBQ for Australia Day

We had a lot of BBQs when we went back home in December. Miss it ay. Walking into ubk’s outdoor terrace on Saturday afternoon brought back the feeling of a chilled out kiwi summer bbq 😉

Garden furniture, simple spread of salads, BBQ meat – i.e prep your own hotdogs, burgers, and good cuts of steak. Prawn and salmon skewers. BBQ vegetables. It’s simple, but it’s good. Guess we haven’t been to a relatively simple afternoon brunch for awhile so this felt like a nice change. No crazy queueing for food, no need to wave away all the cig smoke in the air, no loud music blasting.

As it was Australia Day, ubk was serving Fosters and Lynchburg Lemonade, which I absolutely love. So did mum 😉 I’m not sure if they serve it on their usual Saturday BBQs but I’ll definitely find out and let you know soon 😉

There are no 2 for 1s for their brunch in the Entertainer as yet, but keep an out for the one day deals as Nosh tends to appear on it quite often so I’m hoping that it’ll do the same for UBK.

Without deals, it’s 125AED for all you can eat (food only), 145AED all you can eat (food and soft drinks), and if you wanna do it with alc drinks, it’s an additional 150AED, i.e 275AED total. Honest take is that it feels a lil steep considering it’s just BBQ food, so I’m hoping for a deal to pop up soon 😉
