Have you ever received an invitation to an event, with the assumption that you will be fed, only to find out later on that there really isn’t going to be much food at all and you end up being dead hungry and grumpy? 🙁
That’s the problem with some of these things isn’t it.
Dinner cocktail ended up being just drinks only, with very limited canapes served an hour later. Add in the fact that Wednesday night actually coincided with one of our own special occasion and we wanted to make it different by celebrating it with Atelier M…..
Enough dwelling on it, you got the gist 🙂 We ended up dining at Cargo which I do highly recommend (blog post to come), and joined back upstairs at Atelier M when the show on the rooftop lounge was going on. Tummy all fed and a few drinks in, the show was actually incredible with models walking the runway, hosted non-other by the stunning Shereen Mitwalli. Lots of respect for her, as we’ve seen her host numerous other shows over the last 3 years and she’s always been so well-spoken and charismatic on stage 🙂
A lot of well-groomed fashionistas sipping sparkly on the rooftop lounge, it’s one of those sights where everywhere you turn, you kinda go, wow – this is Dubai. This is beautiful 🙂
So, eventhough we had a bad start to the night, G and I enjoyed the rest of the evening tremendously…… and it’s one of those things where you go, next time eventhough invite says Dinner.. I’m gonna ask if you will actually feed me. And hey, we’ve dined there before… there food is good 🙂

Haha lively atmosphere there ay.. Planning to go back again! Was a ladies night when we moved downstairs to have dinner… Food was good as well.. G had I think cod on rice and I had the Singapore noodles with prawns…. Both yummy 🙂
