Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish

I don’t usually blog on beauty products.

I think you need to be a) rather good looking already b) don’t really care, to post your face online for the world to see, haha. I guess I’ll make an exception for Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish, because I don’t have to plaster my face on my blog – and also because my nails, “on the other hand” aren’t too bad. Hee hee.

Few weeks ago I won a 500AED Bourjois beauty loot thanks to Aquarius. Honestly speaking (sorry guys), I’ve never heard of this brand. I don’t think they have this in NZ/Aussie, or in Asia in general. Or it’s just me.

Of the stash, was 4 bright coloured 1-seconde “Gel Silicone” nail polish. Says on the bottle “Fan effect brush, neat nails”. I was sceptical at first because I’ve never managed to find any nail polish better than O.P.I. The weird thing is that they don’t really use O.P.I here in the mani/padi salons, and you don’t see it in Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, etc. Not sure why is that so.

I tried them today and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to apply, and because of the super fat brush, you only need to do two-three brushes and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s neat around the cuticles (!), the texture is smooth so you don’t see any ‘brush lines’ that you normally get with rubbish nail polishes. And, it dries really quick! O wait, forgot to mention – the colours that I got are so cute, hehe. It’s not my usual cup of tea because it’s so bright but because the quality is great, it actually looks good on my hands (according to myself).

I don’t know what took so long for other nail polish manufacturers to figure out this secret! All nail polish brushes should be like this!

Quite happy with this. I’m not even sure where in Dubai can you buy these nail polishes. I think you can get it anywhere? Time to do some hunting when I’m out.
