This one’s probably for JY, hehe!

And so I went there tonight with a new-found friend. Really nice bar actually – again the crowd is mostly men and a few nice-looking women, haha. Reminds me a bit of a high-end Cock and Bull, except it was completely packed tonight… probably because it was Ladies Night, and also because Real Madrid was playing some other team tonight… I don’t know, I’m not into football.

Named after Horatio Nelson aka Lord Nelson, the bar is of Victorian style interior. Kinda weird to think we actually know who this guy was in the history, as we went to the Painted Hall in Greenwich where his coffin was placed many many years ago.

Walking in, the bouncer handed us a coupon with 4 complimentary drinks from a selected list. Pretty good drinks too I’ll say – nothing like that watered down Long Island we had at Roadhouse in Covent Garden! I had 2 sparkling wines, cocktail, then shared the last Gin and Tonic. Pretty good way to catch up with mates as you don’t need to spend a fortune or buy rounds. That is, if you’re a girl. Haha

Pretty ironic ay – a country where you need a license to have liquor in your house, but as a girl you can go all these Ladies Nights and have free drinks.
